Preparing for Year 7 2026

Head Start to High School is Gymea Technology High School’s tailored transition program, designed to support students as they take the exciting step into high school.

This program has consistently empowered students to feel more confident and better prepared emotionally, socially, and academically, before they officially begin Year 7. It also fosters a strong sense of belonging and pride, helping students and their families feel connected from the very beginning of their journey with us.

We are genuinely excited to welcome our new Year 7 students and their families through the Head Start to High School program. We look forward to working in partnership as we embark on this important new chapter in your child’s educational journey.

Term 3

• Head Start to High School – Tuesday 19 August:       4.30pm – 6pm
• Head Start to High School – Tuesday 26 August:       4.30pm – 6pm
• Head Start to High School – Tuesday 2 September:  4.30pm – 6pm

Term 4

• Information Evening – Tuesday 18 November:    6:00pm – 7:30pm
• Family Interviews – Tuesday 25 November:        1:00pm – 5:40pm
• Orientation Day – Tuesday 2 December:             9:15am – 11:00am
