Key Points
- Congratulations to our 10 successful nominees who have been elected as Prefect in 2022.
- We are so proud of each of our Year 11 students who nominated themselves for the position.
- Nominations for the positions of Captain and Vice Captain are now underway with voting commencing next week.
Term 4 marks the beginning of the HSC journey for our Year 11 students and with that, the opportunity to undertake that senior leadership position as Prefect for Year 12 2022. It is a chance for our most senior students to work together to lead others across the school and bring about those changes and improvements our student body wants to see here at Gymea.
We are so proud of each of our Year 11 students who nominated themselves for the position of Prefect in 2022. The nomination process has them reflect on themselves as leaders, their demonstrated commitment to their school throughout their time at Gymea and what it means to be a leader of their peers. Reading through the nomination forms, it is clear that all of our nominees this year have a strong drive to assist their younger peers, and to offer support and role model for them how to bring about success at school.
Each year, we undertake tight processes that ensure validity and confidentiality during the voting process that elects our Prefect Body. This has seen the following 10 students elected as Prefect in 2022:
- Jacob Allen
- Alexander Arnold
- Ziggy Badans
- Natasha Brabant
- Laura Cox
- Lachlan Miller
- Taylor Napier
- Benjamin Porter
- Teresa Potts
- Maya Simmons
Each of these 10 students now has the opportunity to nominate themselves for the position of Captain or Vice Captain of the Prefect Group, which will occur next week. Congratulations to our 2022 Prefects!
