Key Points

  • Our School Vaccination Clinics are scheduled for Year 10 on Monday 13 May and Year 7 on Monday 21 October.

  • NSW Health now requires parents to provide online consent for your child’s routine school vaccinations through NSW Health online.

  • Details about how to provide your consent are outlined below. We will communicate with families again closer to the clinic dates.

The South Eastern Sydney Public Health Unit are running a free Vaccination Clinic for students in Year 10 and Year 7 in 2024.

Our School Vaccination Clinics are scheduled on Monday 13 May for Year 10 students and Monday 21 October for Year 7 students.

  • In Year 7, students are offered free vaccines for diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis (dTpa) and human papillomavirus (HPV).
  • In Year 10, students are offered the meningococcal ACWY vaccine.

Students who miss vaccine doses due to absence on the day of the nurses’ visit will be offered catch-up vaccination at subsequent school clinics. For more information on routine school vaccinations, please visit the NSW Health Website.

Online Consent for School Vaccinations

NSW Health now requires parents to provide online consent for your child’s routine school vaccinations. This will allow parents to easily update your child’s details, receive notifications when vaccinations are given and more easily access vaccination records.

Vaccination will only be provided at school if consent has been received. Online consent will only be accepted if provided through the NSW Health School Vaccination Program portal.

To provide consent:

  1. To complete online consent for your child’s school vaccinations, visit: engage.health.nsw.gov.au
  2. Follow the steps to log in to your existing ServiceNSW account. This is the same account you may already use to renew your driver’s licence. If you don’t have a ServiceNSW account, refer to ServiceNSW to create one.
  3. Update or confirm your personal details in ServiceNSW as required.
  4. Complete the School Vaccination Consent Form for your child. You will need to:
    • Enter your child’s personal details
    • Provide the Medicare card details for you and your child
    • Read the linked Parent Information Sheet and privacy statement
    • Provide consent

If you or your child do not have a Medicare card, consent can still be provided by requesting a paper-based consent form directly from the school.

For further assistance on providing your online consent for our School Vaccination Clinic, please see the guide below.

We would appreciate your assistance in having your consent completed by Friday 5 April for Year 10 and Friday 20 September for Year 7.
