Outstanding Performance in 2023 HSC

2023 Prefect Team

Key Points

  • Our strong, collective approach to teaching and learning sees our students achieving high levels of HSC success year after year. Gymea Technology High School is a small and proud community celebrating outstanding achievements with a third of all results falling in the top two performance bands.
  • Congratulations to all of our students listed below who were identified as Distinguished Achievers in this year’s Higher School Certificate.
  • Data provided by NESA and the NSW Department of Education continues to show that Gymea students are performing strongly across the school with above state average performances and outstanding individual and whole school value added to student outcomes.

We are proud to share with our school community the outstanding HSC Results of the Class of 2023. One third of all results fell in the top 2 bands (Bands 5 and 6), with many students achieving high HSC results of 80 or above across their different subjects. Several students were recognised on the 2023 HSC Distinguished Achievers List  for achieving an outstanding HSC mark of 90 or above in one or more subjects, which is a fantastic accomplishment.

The strong success of our HSC students can be attributed to the hard work and commitment of both the students and staff alike.  Our school’s strong, unified approach to explicit teaching and learning and wellbeing, HSC preparation, targeted academic guidance and individualised support of all students throughout their academic journey has played a significant role in our students’ success. Our HSC students are always well supported as they put in countless hours of studying, revising, practicing and taking on teacher feedback to achieve their HSC and post school pathway goals.

HSC data from the NSW Department of Education highlights the strong performance of Gymea students, who are achieving above-average results compared to the state. Both individual and school-wide value added is evident in the results.

We would like to extend our sincerest congratulations to the Class of 2023 and their families on their achievements. We are proud of all that they have accomplished and are confident that they will continue to make us proud in their future endeavors.
